Tuesday 11th & Wednesday 12th April
Travel days! Flights, early starts etc etc. Got on the world’s smallest aeroplane! Landed in paradise, the most amazing hotel – clean sheets, good lighting, AIR CON! It is hotter than the surface of the sun here, 100% humidity, nearly 40 degrees. Swimming pool, beer, amazing room. We are here for a week and we are v happy about that. Charlotte found a friend and I did too – we might have cut loose a little bit (read: a LOT!) one afternoon!
We are here during the water festival which was super fun, over 2 nights you basically throw water everywhere!
Nothing else to report really! The true (tight!) backpackers that we are, we are getting lunch on the beach and dinner in markets!
We also manage to catch up on home school everyday – see below for Henry ‘presenting’ a piece he wrote on why we should watch “Mr Beast” on YouTube. NB – you really should, he’s a great you tuber who is very philanthropic! (Not the Ninja kids who strike me as a little precocious).
I’m pretty sure this is Koh Samui from 23 years ago!
